1. I have listened about 6 or 8 times to the mp3 and I've come to the conclussion that I prefer the original... Ok, it is not a perfect song, but at least is better sung (except for the last verse, which is horrible in the original) than the Brothers version. I prefer the production on the Brothers rendition though.

I desperately want to see the movie.

  2. That's what makes the song better. I would prefer a mixed version of both.

  3. yup, that part of the song makes it.
  4. Quite like both versions now. It's a great song.
  5. WOW!! Just got home from watching Brothers! Great movie!

I remember passing by as the trailer was being played at the theater and I heard Bad! I said "Yes" Another film with U2! I love the way they used Bad in the film.

I had been listening to Winter on youtube and I knew it was a great song, but now after watching the film it has a greater meaning to me, brought me to tears in the theater.

I think the band did great work with this track. It really adds to the film, the lyrics are very powerful. I don't mind the "butter on toast" lyric, because it works both literaly and metaphorically, for me.

I enjoy both versions and am glad to have some new U2 in a featured film, as well as to listen to!

The track and film get an A+ from me!!
  6. So I guess we won't be getting a single release? The buzz seems to have died down and we have nothing...

  7. Well we have a song and whether it's a single or not doesn't change the song itself.

  8. Yeah but it isn't even released anywhere!

  9. Bono even said that Edge was working on an electric version... I think they might try to play it live and that might work out pretty good
  10. I fear I prefer the original.

may be a promo-cd will surface?
  11. Its nothing special in my opinion...
