Will do, I'm looking at MapQuest now trying to figure out my around. Hope you make it tomorrow!

And I really hope tomorrow night's broadcast is better than tonight's sound-wise. Awful sound coming through tonight; i don't think the band's mikes are turned up loud enough.

Tonight has been a crap (using a nicer word) show. Can barely hear anyone and they are playing songs while the fans are asking them questions. Shirley is not able to control things but she ain't getting much help either. Should have let the boys just take over the show completely themselves but of course you need their mics to work.

Mapquest might be a bit confusing with the one way streets but it should get you in the area. Suppose to rain tomorrow during the day so good luck. Seems like it might clear up at night so that may get me in there.

It's really almost unlistenable. It sounds like they couldn't decide whether to broadcast the songs or the Q&A so decided to do both at the same time. I hope Shirley's not doing tomorrow's broadcast. Let her have a rest. Bring in Carter Alan!

Kudos for the directions, I won't mind walking at all even in rain. I'll be sure to bring my umbrella.

Can't get in unless you won tickets from the radio last week.
  3. I dont understand any of this. Lol are they like doing interviews in those cities? Where can we see it

  4. They were in Los Angeles last night and Chicago tonight doing one-hour radio broadcasts. They're not really worth listening to, though; they're not talking about the album much, and the quality even for radio broadcast is awful. The band just chose songs from other artists they enjoy, and the DJ played them.

Tomorrow night they're giving an actual performance at 9pm in Boston, so that at least should be worth listening to.
  5. Just got some intel from people who live in Somerville that they have a couple streets already blocked off and there is about five television trucks there already. A bunch of the metered parking has signs up that cannot park there for today also. So for those going in expect to not find great parking. Try taking the Red Line to Davis Square if you can.

Update: Somerville Fire department is predicted 10,000 fans showing up in the area so you should pretty much forget driving in. Bars are going to be packed!

Can Davis Square even hold that many people? Yikes.
Do you know if Mass Ave. was one of the streets blocked? That's the way I was planning on coming in from the West.

Yeah, if that many people show up it will be a scene. Mass Ave is not blocked off as too large of a street to do, so you will be fine to that point. It will be the one way streets around the theatre itself. You are probably better off parking away from the theatre and walking 10-15 minutes to place. I'm intending to park in Arlington (town next to Somerville) and walking 20 minutes or so. I know someone who lives 5 mintues from theatre but would be a pain to get to their place by the time I get in there.
  8. I want to go but it might be a waste of time. Maybe I'll try.
  9. So the stupid TV reporters will be standing on the side of the street saying clever things like, "If you're not holding a ticket to tonight's show, police are urging people not to come to Somerville. Of course, we're TV news hacks so we can do whatever we like. But all you U2 fans had better listen to me when I tell you...Stay home."

No wonder TV news is dying a quick death.
  10. I'm not going. They've alreday entered.
