1. Nice topic.

Speakers blaring. Get off the computer. Either do something you like while listening (art, clean, whatever makes you happy) or just listen and enjoy being let in the sound.

I work in a theatre and I plan on going out at lunch tomorrow to buy it and putting it on our theatre sound system and sitting in the middle row in the semi-darkness.
  2. Personally, my favorite place to experience music, including NLOTH, is taking a solo drive (20-30 minutes, so I can usually soak up Side A or B all at once), playing loud, at night.

***PS: Recently I've used earplugs when listening to loud music, so I can feel the bass without destroying my ears. I recommend this to EVERYBODY. Ear damage is VERY VERY dangerous; it's like sun damage, you won't notice it until 20-30 years later, and it'll be sudden and (more or less) irreversible.***
  3. Due to work and life etc. I wasn't able to listen to the album in ful, 1-11, until last night so I suppose that could be considered my first listen.

I went for a run with a promise to myself not to stop until I had heard it all. Wind, cold, slight rain. And I want to do it again.
  4. I heard it for the first time on stereo

1st listen was indeed an experience. I did exactly as I said I'd do (while looking through the special edition magazine interview) and it was amazing.

That was exactly how I did my first listen, haha.
  8. Same ritual as the last twenty odd years.... straight into town to HMV on release day, buy it, get home, blast it out while I look through the artwork and have a cuppa..... then stick a few of the best tunes on again afterwards followed by the full headphones listen later that night.
