  1. Hey everyone. I live in the US, and I never had the opportunity to see U2 in Europe during the Vertigo Tour.

    So did anyone here go to the Gelsenkirchen show on 12 June 05 and the London show on the 19 June 05?

    I read all the setlists over at U2tours.com. According to the setlists, at the Gelsenkirchen show, City Of Blinding Lights was played after New Year's Day. And at the London show, City Of Blinding Lights was played after Wild Horses.

    On the Live from Milan DVD, Bono had the crowd sing "You" as the band segued from All I Want Is You into The Edge's long intro to COBL.

    So how did U2 segue from New Year's Day into COBL's intro at the Gelsenkirchen show? And how did they segue from Wild Horses into COBL's intro at the London show?

    I know I sound too detail-oriented. But I'm just curious.

    Does anyone remember?

    new year's day simply ended, they didn't segue into cobl at all. there was a pause of a few seconds and then cobl slowly started go listen to the bootleg to hear it yourself!

    been there, too. and flowerchild is right, they just ended NYD and then started COBL
