1. I didn't hear any of the pre hype (which I'm really glad about now) so it caught me off guard which is awesome. It's almost impossible for me to avoid pre hype to just about anything these days including setlists and movies.
  2. Does the album have a release date at all? Or any tour dates? I'm in a slight KoL mood lately.
  3. September 24. No official "tour" yet that I'm aware of
  4. Ok, thanks Decent hopes for the album!
  5. Me too! I'm digging what I've heard so far.

  6. Album leaked a little while ago.
  7. No prob! I won't get to listen for another 5 hours so feel free to share your opinion on it!
  8. Already on my iPod, not yet had chance to listen though, I haven't heard any of the new songs so it'll all be new for me.
  9. On my iPhone. Ill give it a proper listen at the gym after work. I skimmed through it and its definitely better than Come Around Sundown IMO. Album version of Dont Matter is killer.
  10. Downloaded - first listen in 10 minutes.
  11. First impressions as I listened to the album, might change later.

-I still like Supersoaker, great album opener.
    -Rock City is awful.
-Don't Matter is meh, might grow, the instrumental break/solo is fantastic though.
-Beautiful War sounds even better on record than the live recording from the other day, I hav almost shed a tear with it. BEST song of the album and one of their bests ever.
-Temple is fine, I could do without the falsetto and the echos on the chorus.
-Wait For Me is nice. It lacked a bit of "lift off" but nice overall.
-Family Tree... haven't made my mind about it. I like the chorus and the middle eight/solo, very Beatles-ish, but the verses are... Different?
-Comeback Story is good, once again I could do without the Uuuuh Uuhhh on the post-chorus breaks, but it's good. The strings made it a bit different, nice touch.
-Tonight might be my 2nd favorite of the album. I would open the concerts with it. GREAT song.
-Coming Back Again caught me with its speed but then it's a bit dumb.
-On The Chin is a good album closer, nice mid-tempo song with good lyrics. I like it a lot, 3rd or 4th best on the album.

*Work On Me (bonus) surprised me. Still has. It becomes a bit standard when Caleb comes in but the instrumental parts are WTF?
*Last Mile Home (bonus) is a standard KOL song and I like it.

Good album overall, just on 1st listen. Opinions can change of course, but I like most of it. It makes me want to see them live, something that hadn't happened before. So it's a good thing I guess.

PS. Caleb's vocals are more and more alike to Paolo Nutini's each time. I noticed it specially during Temple, Wait For Me and Last Mile Home. For those who don't know Nutini, youtube These Streets or Rewind and see what I mean. I seriously can hear him singing on some of the new KOL songs!!!
