1. not counting compilations, etc

    for me, it was roughly:

    The Unforgettable Fire
    The Joshua Tree
How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
    Achtung Baby
All That You Can't Leave Behind
    Zooropa
    Boy
    Pop
    October
    No Line On The Horizon
    War
    Rattle & Hum

  2. Boy, October, War, Unforgettable, Joshua, Rattle, were bought in vinyl before I was born. Achtung and Zooropa were bought in vinyl when I was alive already, and after that I have been present when Pop, the compilations, Leave Behind, Dismantle and No Line were bought in CD Every record has been bought in order in my house
  3. 1st: All of them apart from
    2nd: Pop
    3rd: Joshua Tree
4th: No Line on the Horizon

U218singles was first though, i didn't just buy their albums assuming i would like them
  4. Many people have been hooked with U218, as well as many were hooked at their times with the Besto Of's and/or ATYCLB
  5. I bought the Best of 1980-1990 FIRST! Lol. I remember not liking it that much. I thought it sounded too dated -_-. I was wrong! i got hooked later. haha

I bought the best of 1990-2000 second and loved it RIGHT AWAY. i think its the most amazing comp ever.

How to Dismantle after i read it won all these grammys.

And then i started buying everything off iTunes.

U218 when it came out and the rest is history. lol.

  6. aye, that was my first ever U2 purchase.

it's still one of my favourite compilations ever tbh
  7. Ehm....(started with 18 singles)
    1. HTDAAB
    2. JT (B-day present)
    3. Pop
    4. Zooropa

    6. Boy
    7. October & War
    8. ATYCLB
    9. NLOTH
Still have to buy: TUF and R&H (I'm waiting for remasters, therefore )
  8. I don't physically own them all , bu there's the order I heard them in
    ATYCLB-parents played it non-stop
    JT-after 6 listens, i was hooked
I don't remember the rest except htdaab was last
    and then nloth
I didn't heard 218 and the other comps until much later
    I have terrible memory.
  9. 1. Achtung Baby (about 2 months after release)
    2. Zooropa (on release day)
    3. Joshua Tree
    4. Rattle & Hum
    5. Unforgettable Fire
    6. War
    7. Boy

    10. Pop (on release)
    11. October
    12. ATYCLB
    13. HTDAAB
    14. No Line

12-14 and all 3 compilations on their respective release days too
  10. wow, I can't even remember.

the first three I owned were jt ,atyclb and uabrs, because my dad owned them already and I snagegd them from him then I got the bomb for myself and after that, I bought the rest. no clue which order, but I got unforgettable fire at last (not considering nloth, of course), it's the only record I own ONLY on vinyl.
  11. good topic,

First one i owned was ATYCLB, that was the day after U2 won the grammys for Beautiful Day

From there it was the compilations followed by HTDAAB.

Only after that did i finally REALLY get into the band and get the back catalog

  12. Best of '80-'90 was mine.
    After that:

    1. Achtung Baby, around early 2001 (only because it had One and Mysterious Ways, the only other two U2 songs I knew at that time)
    2. JT and R&H
    3. ATCYLB
    4. War, sometime late 2002
    5. Zooropa, got it for Christmas 2002
    6. Boy and October
    7. The Unforgettable Fire and Pop, in Canada in summer 2003
    8. HTDAAB, the day it came out
    9. NLOTH...the day it leaked. And the actual copy three days after its release.

I bought the Best of 1990-2000 the day it came out in '02 as well...I don't have U218, and probably never will.
