Great, incredible, magnificent things have happened to me on this date, and I can't be grateful enough for being blessed with such precious moments.

the day I went to see my very first U2 concert. it changed everything. for the better, and forever. what a night.

a year later, the love for U2 and their music, and everything they mean to me by now were so solid, so for sure and without any doubt in my heart, I had it put on my wrist as a tattoo forever.
It seems to be a random design, but it has some meanings. I'll share a few with you today.
The three lines stand for stability. The music of U2 gets me through many rough times in my life, it helps me get back on my feet whenever real life knocks me off. They keep me steady. There is a song for every situation that comes up in life.
Also, the lines get "wider" towards the top -- the bottom line is shorter than the middle line which is again shorter than the top line - unfortunately, you can't really see that on this picture. It's meant to create a hint of wings, U2's music lifting me up to higher places of mind and soul, as it so often does. It never ceases to amaze me.
Also, another meaning of the three lines....
it's from 1 Corinthians 13:13 "But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love."
A verse that holds a strong meaning for me, personally and also what U2 stands for when it comes to me - therefore three lines..... to name just a few meanings. there you go ;-)

the night flowerchild and I were in Dublin at the studio and did not only see all of the band (and everyone else involved in the album makings) - but we also met Bono and The Edge at 01:30 in the night. Both were very nice, gentle and surprisingly "down-to-Earth" for rockstars. It was impressive and touching to meet them, to shake hands and talk, and even get a picture. a night to remember

you might see why June 12 is my own personal U2 anniversary

what about you? do you have any special date that for you is your U2 day?
