  1. During the (amazing!) version of Bullet at Popmart Leeds, who or what is Bono referring to during his "so this guy comes up to me" bit when he says "how much do you want for your soul? how much do you want for your rock video? lights.. camera.. action.." etc

    sounds like he's referring to something or someone pretty specific!? sounds like he's possibly quite pissed off with someone about something?!

    some video director/company maybe?

    so why MTV?! i thought it sounded more like it would be connected to a video they were planning to make?

    I would guess that U2 could have sold out to mtv, and made populist music videos. Selling their soul. It comes back to the whole popmart era (pop with a heart) They pretend to be pop music but parody it, keeping their soul while retaining the fun of pop.

  6. I was at Leeds, seem to remember it rained very hard and then stopped as the band came on. Cast we're on warm-up and they got soaked, as did we all.
    Does anyone know where a good DVD or some form of video can be located.
    I remember Edge wearing a bright blue hat that night, absolute class.

    There is no record of a video of the popmart leeds show. We all would love that one
  8. Yes there is a Leeds Popmart video,i have it on vhs somewhere,it isnt the best recording i've seen but it does exist!

  11. There is one indeed. It's incomplete and the quality isn't that good, though. It often gets traded as a "combined" DVD with Edinburgh 1987.
