  1. Hey all!

    Happy U2009!

    Just a question - as this is U2start's first full tour opening, can Remy, LikeASong, Risto, or any other admins or veterans suggest some ground rules for voting on performances mid-tour?

    I'm afraid that in our collective excitement, many of us will waste our votes for certain songs during the first 5-10 shows of this potentially lengthy tour, when in the long run it's hard to predict which shows are going to give us great recordings, rare moments & snippets.

    So from the perspective of 2011, post U2 360, I'm afraid the votes for individual songs will be skewed toward the beginning of Leg 1 vs. the respective versions that actually turn out to be the best.

    Vertigo Leg 5 seemed to work out okay, although Sao Paulo & Buenos Aires were already done by the time the site started, and site membership has exploded since then.

    Any ideas? Should we wait till the end of each leg? Or no rules necessary, just keep that in mind?

  2. I guess there wont be any rules concerning that.
    But when the first shows get loads of votes I guess later shows, with better performances, will get loads of votes too, right?

    And I guess that by reviews the good shows will easily be seperated from the weak shows
    So I guess before you download a show it's best to read the reviews

    Maybe the bootleg round table should come back...
  3. A good question, unfortunately most of the crew is unavailable at the moment and I can't do something like that on my own.

    I think it will be alright The system will corrects itself in the future When other bootlegs become available
  4. If people give good reviews on things and if we all have enough space on our hard drives and download shows in slight moderation, I think everything will work out alright.

    (that said, I'm downloading tonight's show as soon as it comes up.)

    Eddie, if you mean ratings for the bootlegs, I think it's best to just let it happen. We can delete individually ridiculous reviews if needed and as far as I'm aware people can fine-tune their own reviews with the benefit of hindsight (or ask one of us to delete the review so they can start again).

    Main thing is going to be staying away from them for me.....
