1. I've kept both Barcelona shows, Milan 1, Sheffield, and New York 2. Those have to be the contenders for best show from the tour in my opinion.
  2. Barca gigs were good but you cant say that version of UC from night one is best so far. If the solo is great, it makes the song. Now it breaks it. Can agree on the other songs, apart from Unforgettable Fire (I think best version there was Amsterdam when Bono sings full lyrics including falsetto). Ultra Violet is hard though. I like the Barca ones, but New Jersey 2 is brilliant too. And snippet in Crazy remix adds something too.

I can't say which gig was the best so far 'cause every gig had some very good performances but also some weak ones. I have to say though, Bono's voice went downhill after Dublin 2/3, and I really like his voice in top form.

Bono did not sing the complete lyrics of TUF in Amsterdam afaik. He still drops a complete verse. Will check it out now

Barca is one of the best shows though, a lot of positive energy

    EDIT:

As far as i know he didnt sing these lines during the tour:

    I'm only asking but I...
    I think you know
    Come on take me away
    Come on take me away
    Come on take me home
    Home again

Which is a shame. But terribly offtopic

yeah well he did sang most of the falsetto parts. more than in every other show I heard.

  5. and you have any valid arguments that version of unknown caller is better than for example the Wembley or Milan ones?

I just prefer it. Doesn't need to be anything specific. Bono just sings it better. Lot of spirit in it that I haven't heard since really. Opening night as a whole has a different feel to all other gigs that have followed. Nerves and confidence issues I guess mixed with a lot of adrenalin. That all goes when they get their tour heads on

Agree partly but the band is also great when they're relaxed. Like Wembley 2. It's just different. Awful discussion though. It all comes down to personal things again. As usual

Nothings fact here indeed. Barcelona opening night just has a different feel to all the other gigs I have listened to and watched (which is quite a lot). Lots of promise in Barcelona that has whittled away.
  9. just found a guy selling the godfather silver cd of the opening night. Packaging is sooo bloody nice. Pricey though at £30. Audio is from one of the matrixes. If it was edomedo's id have bought it already. Think it would be as nice as any official memento from the show so I might just take the plunge
  10. 30 pounds? Crazy.

Print (1 cent) yourself a good cover onto photographic paper (20 cents) and buy a special CD jewel case (90 cents) for the CD (15 cents) you've burned the show on (free).

    There you got it.

its a proper cardboard fold out digipak with full insert and printed silver discs. Same price as what a tshirt would have cost. And nicer
