1. Ha...finished the bootleg this morning, and have already revisited it for moments in "Magnificent", "Pride", "No Line", and "Ultraviolet"...that booming crowd echo is just phenomenal; I wish every bootleg carried similar quality.

Breathe is great in it, too. "These daaaayyyys..."

  3. Agreed. In all, I actually think "Ultraviolet" was probably the best song in the whole bootleg, for everyone. All 4 members just really rocked that one- Bono hit his high notes amazingly, Edge's guitar variations soared, Adam and Larry were just so tight...great, great show. Probably my favorite of all 360° shows I've heard thus far.

I know, but it doesn't change the fact that the audience's sound is amazing. I'm not saying that the crowd there was any better or worse than any other European gig, I'm just saying the audience on the bootleg is the best audience of any show I've ever listened to.

think the venue plays a part too. The same taper used the same equipment for the Croke 3 gig and that audience sound isn't present. Croke is a much more open space. The Croke recording has a lot more clarity in terms of the band but doesn't get that crowd noise. The crowd were good that night too.

Croke is a lot more spread, and I believe San Siro Stadium is very much more...bowl-ish. So, in essence, you're exactly right...the sound doesn't have as much place to go.

Croke is open one end so all the noise just heads out that way. San Siro almost has a roof as such and plenty of exposed concrete allowing that crowd noise to reverberate around. Odd recording.

On a bootleg binge myself tonight while playing Fifa. 3 whole shows already. Barc a 1 is still the only 360 boot I can tolerate.

  8. Still remember when I saw top of Larry's head while he was aproaching the main stage...and I started to cry... What a first U2 concert!
  9. Yogi, were you "Virgin" on the Milano show? I mean, did you know setlist or show details, etc?
  10. I was present to this show.. beautiful memoirs.. still shivers!!!!

  11. I knew that they are playing UF and UV, but didn't watch much recordings from Barcelona. It was my first concert ever, but I remeber not being excited at all. I went with my 8 friends (all U2 fanatics to the bone) and it all just felt too normal. We came in Milano, then to stadium. Yes, I shit my pants when I saw claw in person, but wasn't too excited. But when I heard Bowies voice something changed in the air and my mind left me in that moment.

But now I'm just overexcited because of Torino, because of the fact that I don't have any clue what they will change, what new songs they will play etc...
