1. i have no idea why anyone who pays that money to see a band wants to get pizzled and then cant remember the gig?? pizzles me off people going to the loo all the time cause they are drinking.unf for me i was at the end of a row last night and people were pushing past me all the time. saw a few very drunk females after the concert - lying on the grass!!! omg
  2. interesting reviews guys. Keep them coming. Leaving early is common (the police even advised leaving early due Parkhead emptying at a similar time).

I myself left Croke 2 early. Left during Ultraviolet

wow I could never do that
  4. wasnt worth a skint, hungry night on the streets of Dublin. Didnt bother me at all

  5. I stayed for the whole show and got approximately 10 minutes of sleep in the Dublin Airport.
  6. if I was in GA id have stayed. Was cool hearing it from outside too
  7. Hello, my first post!
This was my first U2 gig, and i was absolutley amazed, the claw is really something to behold! Been a fan for quite a few years now and was more than happy with the apparent 'standard' tour setlist, i only wish they had played Bad and Mysterious Ways, but apart from that i can't complain

The one thing i will never forget is how powerful Bono's voice was all night, was wonderful to see him nailing the falsetto notes on Unforgettable fire, he was fantastic! Edge, Adam and Larry were brilliant throughout aswell, superb musicians!
The sound cutting out on Walk On was only for about a minute or so but the band probably had very little idea of what was going on (some people started to boo but i think this was directed more at the engineers to make them fix the problem), Bono and the lads kept cool and everything got sorted within a few minutes. Could tell during MLK that something wasn't right, must've been a loose power cable or something!
Overall my 3 friends and I had an amazing time, we'll definatley go again if they tour the UK sometime next year, here's hoping they do! Being 20 it was great to see lots of other younger fans in the stadium too, certainly defies any doubts that the lads aren't relevant to modern day music.

One last thing, i brought a sign with me to the gig with the words 'Will play bass on Mysterious Ways' and one of the roadcrew took a picture of me with it! I was wondering if it might surface somewhere? Perhaps the official site? Any ideas? Thanks for reading!
  8. First 2009-08-18 Glasgow recording is up on U2torrents.

    Source - Sony EMC-719 > Edirol R-09HR > SOundforge 9.0 > Flac Level 6

Loaction - On pitch between stage and sound desk.

    Some Info:

The sound cuts out during Walk On but it wasnt my fault it was Joe's as the sound just dropped from the speakers.
The band just carried on completely oblivious to the fact that no one could here them. Kinda a funny moment seeing them playing away and not hearing a thing.
Had to cover the mic briefly during Elevation due to security walking past but didnt effect the much.
Sounds a tad tinny so feel free to remaster away to your hearts content if you so desire.

  9. Why not? Completely wrong thread by the way, we've got a Sheffield gig. Plus you could ask that question of any gig - 'why are so many going to X?'.

  10. 'coz it's for winners.

back on topic, I don't think a sound hickup that wasn't even their fault warrants a formal apology from the band.

  11. they all thought the Gothenburg shows were shite so are going to Sheffield to see a better show
