    City Of Blinding Lights (Hot Chip 2006 Remix)


    Not much this time around - though some of the older Pop and ATYCLB remixes are getting harder to find.

    Honestly, if they put that f*cking Fast Cars remix on another CD I'm gonna set fire to my JT Box Set!


  4. I like it but surely there's more remixes (like we need any more) that would be better. It was released on the last fan-club album too!!!

    I want another disc full of outtakes and demos with the quality of Unreleased and Rare.

  6. Only second to how many times the Fast Cars remix has been released. I thought several remixes have never been released - not a couple. Several is three or more isn't it?

    Window In The Skies has been released three times since its release, Crazy Tonight has seen over seven versions, six of which are remixes and Beautiful Ghost has been released three times. Those are only relatively new songs...so releasing them that many times...begins to frustrate me.


  7. Sadly, even this is not new. SATS (BIRAM) was released on a 2002 12" promo. First time on CD, though, for what it's worth.

    I can't really put into words how disappointed I am with this "gift".

    There's only been one gift I've been happy with so far: Medium Rare and Remastered. I got all the demos that I loved in high-quality.

    I already had all of those demos from The Complete U2 iTunes set.

    I love U2 but when it comes to U2.com and the fanclub, they have not done so well, there has been a lack of imagination.

    I recommend they have whoever is running it take a look at fan clubs and ticketing are handled by Pearl Jam, REM, Bruce, Dave Matthews and Jack White's bands (White Stripes/Raconteurs/Dead Weather).

    All off good ticketing. Some offering fan club members earlier entry than non-fan club members to the venues. Some offering fan club members entry to fan club only promo shows. And some offering far more imaginative 'gifts' for fan club members.

    REM's fanclub is and has been $10.00 in the US forever. You get presales and far better and more imaginative gifts. Certainly not reissued of reissued reissues.

    In short, for the price of u2.com, I am sure that they can do better.

    Yeah but in top quality plus Wave Of Sorrow again?

    The whole thing needs a serious rethink, dream it all up again to quote a certain bandmember.

    I'd like to see it at a $10 or $20 fee and actual unreleased tracks, concert films or the not-yet-issued songs. We all have ideas but unfortunately whoever owns and runs the site clearly does not.

    Remixes are old hat and so are concert rips. I can do that myself as I have been.
