I don't have it and won't be getting it as I don't like remixes and can't justify the subscription this year, but that's just me.

The difference was that the remixes on Melon (the Fruitlegs suck) were actually good. Maybe it's 'cos we weren't bombarded with them at that time - we actually got a couple of B-sides which ranged from decent to rubbish, whereas now, all the singles come with are remixes. Is just one B-side too hard to ask for?

A live album would be good IF it wasn't already available and we can rip it ourselves.

    .

    That's a fair point.
  3. My copy arrived last saturday.
I hate to admit it, but I actually kinda like the 2 mixes of GOYB....... (better than the original...)
The CD is nothing new ofcourse, but it can be good fun on maximum volume on an average saturday...
  4. Got it last week, haven't listened yet. It's nice to have something, although I became member to get pre-sale tickets for Brussels. And indeed, a subscription isn't necessary to get tickets. Regular pre-sale is good enough. Won't renew either.
  5. I think Artificial Horizon has it's highs and it's lows.

    For me, the highlights are:
    - Elevation (Influx Mix). Already heard it numerous time before but I still rather like it.
    - Fast Cars (Jacknife Lee Mix). I hadn't heard this before but I'd heard the Jacknife mix of Vertigo which was pretty good.
    - Get On Your Boots (Fish Out of Water Mix). Heard a tiny clip of this on a video someone posted a while ago and thought it sounded good, but I love the full version.
    - City of Blinding Lights (Hot Chip Remix). I just think it's a nice track.
    - Staring At The Sun (Brothers In Rhythm Ambient Mix). Again, I just think it works really well.

    Major lowlights for me are:
    - Beautiful Day (David Holmes Remix). Just doesn't float my boat.
    - Staring At The Sun (Monster Truck Remix). Not fond of any of the SATS remixes (except the one mentioned above), such as Sad Bastard and Lab Rat.

The rest is alright. The Vertigo mix becomes a bit of a pain in the arse after a while.
  6. that SP remix sounds like wannahave?

  7. so much for an impulse purchase. still undecided whether to buy it. 30$ is not much

  8. for me (in canada) to buy vinyl I usually have to order it from my local shop who gets it from somewhere in the states via 2 middleman...or I can usually get things from MHV in the UK but then I pay sterling and a mess in shipping...

I think $30.00 is reasonable. (and for some reason... no shipping or tax was charged!)
    cheers
