  1. Surely U2 have got to be classed as the best Live band of all time. I am really loving the latest tour and they sound Amazing ( BEEN TO ZOOTV, Popmart, Elevation and Vertigo Tours

    Other amazing live acts: Radiohead and Muse
    Worst I´ve seen: Oasis
  3. Alright, I'm going to get my arse burned and say U2 are NOT the best live band of all time. I'm sure there are some people out there will argue with me until they are blue in the face, while there will be some who agree.

    The Rolling Stones are pretty darn good, wouldn't you say? Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc. Even my beloved Who are entertaining live, but aren't the best. The Beatles are worth something of a mention, right? What about Bruce Springsteen or Michael Jackson? Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Kiss? Quite a list is sure to have somebody who's number one.

    So who takes the top spot, eh? Well, any band can go out and play their classics and play them great, right? If bands can please their fans day in and day out on tour, they've done their job, sort of. There's always a group of fans out there that want some rare stuff played, if they have the catalogue to play stuff like that. What about originality? Live style, setlist setup, the list goes on. What band has perfected this chemistry?

    In general, it could be any band. In my opinion, I don't have one yet, so it's going to take a while before I choose a band.
  4. Dunno about ever, but the best I've yet seen are Runrig and Alter Bridge, both put on fantastic live shows. I hope to add U2 to that list in good time - I've been put in awe by various visual and audio performances but am yet to see them in the flesh, and what's gone before puts me in positive spirits
  5. U2 are easily my favorite live.
    The best might be Led Zeppelin though-they really communicate and jam well onstage.
  6. I'm gonna say definately not the best. While they put on a fantastic show, and are always fun to see, for me, the best bands are ones that change up the music live, i.e. Led Zeppelin, Santana, Pearl Jam, Umphrey's McGee etc...

    Any half-decent (real) rock band with (pretty) good songs can put on a good two-hour show.
  10. U2, Muse, Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi, Guns 'N Roses, Led Zep, Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band, Rolling Stones....and many more. Hard to decide.

    And I'd like to add The Verve, and Robbie Williams for his shows. They're personal favourites of mine.

  12. Suggestive, depends on a person's taste..I'd say U2, but this is a U2-board. Others might say Muse, Depeche Mode, REM, Metallica..even Coldplay.
