1. what are the wristbands for up front like? Are they nice plastic ones like you get at festivals or the crappy throwaway paper ones like the last tour?

Im prepared to queue for hours to get up front so a nice little memento would be nice, do they mention U2 at all?
  2. typically just flimsy things arranged by the fans at sme shows to try and gain some order

No wristbands at all. At least not in Amsterdam, it might depend on the venue. I received an ink stamp only, four years ago a green plastic wristband, nothing worth mentioning. The Police and Radiohead had nice ones!
  4. Mostly stamps. Some venues have paper wristbands, though.
  5. In Gelsenkirchen they had wristbands. Kind of aquagreen ones with just 360 on it, no U2 unfortunately
  6. Gothenburg had wristbands, neon yellow without any text at all
  7. IMPORTANT: I just went to the U2 show in Philly and there was a major snafu with the wristbands. If you bought your tickets through a resale site, like TicketsNow.com, then you are NOT the original purchaser of your tickets. Here's what that means to you: IF YOU WERE NOT THE PERSON WHO ORIGINALLY BOUGHT THE TICKETS, YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET YOUR WRISTBANDS.

    Here's what happened:
I bought tickets last year from TicketsNow.com. They Fedexed them to me. I held them all year. About a week ago, a guy named Louis called me and said "I am the guy who originally bought your tickets and sold them to the someone who put them up for sale on TicketsNow." I have no idea how he got my number, but thank God he did. He told me at other concerts, they require the photo ID and the credit card from the original purchaser to get the wristbands from Will Call. I was in the Red Zone, but this holds true for GA tickets, too. After days of making phone calls, it turns out he is CORRECT. I was very lucky in this case, because his friends were still going and he gave them his ID and CC just in case the rumor was true. We went to Will Call and they REQUIRED US TO PRESENT LOUIS' ID AND CC. Louis' friend looks like him, so they didn't know we were not the orginal purchasers. But if we hadn't gotten his ID and CC, we WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN LET IN THE CONCERT. They scan the ticket and it shows the last name of the purchaser. Your photo ID MUST MATCH THAT NAME.

IF SOMEONE ELSE PURCHASED THE TICKETS AND YOU GOT THEM OFF EBAY OR TICKETS NOW, EVEN WITH YOUR RECEIPT SHOWING THE PURCHASE, THEY WON'T GIVE YOU THE WRISTBANDS WITHOUT THE ORIGINAL PURCHASERS ID AND CC. It was a confusing mess. In this case I really lucked out...if Louis didn't call me and set it up for me to meet his friends at the stadium, I would not have gotten in.

I have no idea if there is some way to get around this issue, but I wish someone had warned me a long time ago about this. I eventually got in and the concert was great, but the wristband thing was chaos. Just an FYI to all you TicketsNow customers out there. Start making phone calls........NOW! Good luck, everyone.
  8. That's the bitch with paperless tickets/will call. Claiming them is absolutely retarded.

If you have a hard ticket in your hand, entering the stadium should require nothing more than that ticket. Ridiculous if they require anything else. What's the point of a ticket anyway.

    Sorry for your troubles.
  9. AFAIK, that's always been the deal with Will Call tickets. But I've never heard of having to collect wristbands from the ticket office. Every show I've been to has given out the GA wristbands on entry to GA. How would they ensure that only people who had GA tickets were admittted?
