1. It seems that U2 want the claw to be placed in parks around the world as a reminder of their tour.

    From yahoo..

"Irish rockers U2 plan to turn the elaborate stage sets from their current 360 world tour into stand-alone concert venues.

The With Or Without You hitmakers are currently touring the globe using three massive steel structures, in the shape of giant claws, as part of the shows.

The giant rigs cost between £15 million and £20 million each and will be used on different legs of the international trek.

And now the band want the sets to become a permanent reminder of their concerts - they plan to place them in parks around the world once the tour is over.

U2's tour architect Mark Fisher says, "My vision, which I've been discussing with the band, is that we will turn them into concert pavilions. Part of the tour will finish in Australia and another part of the tour will finish in South America, where people could use a nice concert pavilion in a park, which has an ability to take 200 tonnes of kit hanging under it. It's a fairly useful thing."

Pretty cool eh? Surprised those things cost £15m

P.S I'm really rubbish at picking the correct forum to open topics in so sorry to the crew people if this is the wrong one. It could go in "U2 Live" or the "U2 360".
  2. we already have it in the claw topic and in a few others
