  2. It started snowing here just around 13:30 but snow hasn't grown on the ground, only the grass, trees and sand are covered by the snow...

  4. There's plenty of snow here in the UK and it's lying too. The news says not to go out, unless you really need to!
  5. Is "To lie" the verb that's used where the snow begins to actually grow upon the ground? I though it was To settle...


  6. both, I use settle but i don't see a problem with using 'to lie'.

    EDIT: actually i would use "lie" for the long term, "that snows being lying there for weeks"

    In other news, I managed to land on a sizeable rock why sledding and my lower back is killing me It got so cold so quickly too Snow falling heavily again though

  11. I'm getting pretty sick of going out in it. Apparently, we have to go to school today and it's about 8+ inches and hasn't improved at all since Monday. Luckily the snow was just really heavy and is now deeper than it has ever been. Hoping for no school because it's dangerous to walk in and there wouldn't be enough staff.
