Yeah, I've always wished that I was born much earlier than 1995. I got into U2 at a very early age of 5.. As soon as I heard Beautiful Day in October 2000, that was me, favourite band ever since.
As for me, my first U2 experience must have been around 1998, when my father bought The Best Of 1980-1990. We listened to the record in the car, and I remember being astonished, from the first Pride notes to the last October ones.
However, that did not go further until 2005. My parents only had this best of and War at home, so... but when the Bomb came out, I really liked Vertigo, Sometimes and City of Blinding Lights. Afterwards, I got the album, and from then on, I really have become fond of the band.
