1. Nahh, I think I will call Edge tomorrow or something like that
But are there really people who send an e-mail to U2.com ?
  2. We don't talk about this enough.

They will be the people who constantly complain about everything. For example, a lady in my street complains about everything. She once complained about how the postmen keep dropping elastic bands (even when it's done by accident). I hate those kind of people.
  4. I wonder when will Drewbee Higgins find an avatar that would stay more than 24 hours..........

  5. I believe Neil Gaiman said it best when in response to a reader's question about George RR Martin's lack of progress on the promised new novel in his series. He said, "George RR Martin is not your bitch. He doesn't owe you anything."

And so, I say to U2 fandom: U2 are not your bitch. They don't owe you anything. Creativity is not a tap that can be turned on at will. Sometimes shit takes time. Either wait, or do something else. But don't go around thinking that just because they said there's a new album coming out that there actually be one in anything other than U2's own timeframe.

If their timeframe wasn't so ahem, devoid of linearity, then perhaps people wouldn't get so pissed off.
  7. I love changing my avatar and I'll change it again just for you, Sergio.

  8. You can be annoyed, you can be whatever you like. Hell, I get irritated with the whole will-they-won't-they schtick.

But as soon as we start acting like this or any other artist owes us anything, that's when we start being Those Fans, the creepy, entitled ones.

You misinterpreted my original question. I don't feel anyone I don't know owes me anything.
I was simply wondering if anyone said anything to them about their continued delays.

Also, when you have millions of people who truly love your work, it's just not very considerate to tease. Say nothing or give a release date, a la Radiohead.

Hmm...maybe you saw me going round and collecting them? lol

Our postman used to drop elastic bands everywhere and I'd go around (I'm about 12-13 at the time) and make rubber band balls. Win.
