If their timeframe wasn't so ahem, devoid of linearity, then perhaps people wouldn't get so pissed off.
  2. I love changing my avatar and I'll change it again just for you, Sergio.

  3. You can be annoyed, you can be whatever you like. Hell, I get irritated with the whole will-they-won't-they schtick.

But as soon as we start acting like this or any other artist owes us anything, that's when we start being Those Fans, the creepy, entitled ones.

You misinterpreted my original question. I don't feel anyone I don't know owes me anything.
I was simply wondering if anyone said anything to them about their continued delays.

Also, when you have millions of people who truly love your work, it's just not very considerate to tease. Say nothing or give a release date, a la Radiohead.

Hmm...maybe you saw me going round and collecting them? lol

Our postman used to drop elastic bands everywhere and I'd go around (I'm about 12-13 at the time) and make rubber band balls. Win.
  6. Sidney Lumet (Director of "12 Angry Men", "Dog Day Afternoon" and "Network" among many others) has passed away due to lymphoma.

    He was 86.

  9. So just a quick question, and I'd probably be able to answer this for myself if I took some time to look, but I know others around here can probably answer for me

Have tickets to the first Montreal show this summer, and the Toronto show. The way it goes is:
    Montreal - July 8th
    Montreal - July 9th
    Toronto - July 11th

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like U2 tends to be more experimental currently on the 2nd night of a city that they're playing. I really hope this isn't the case, because I'd rather not miss something like Bad or whatever, but then if they ARE more experimental the second night, does that usually carry onto the next city if there's only 1 performance in that next city? What I mean is, if the show on the 9th has more experimental material, will the show on the 11th have aroudn the same set?

Or am I looking at seeing 2 of the same shows with a bit of a conservative setlist? Right now it's almost impossible to tell, seems like very show is totally different.

I'd say most likely yes you're probably right - the show on the 9th might have a couple of different songs, and the show on the 11th might have one or both of those same two songs from the 9th. I wouldn't worry too much about missing anything on the 11th that you won't see on the 9th.

BUT - with the way things are going now, who knows. You might get three completely different setlists. who knows what they'll be doing for the North American leg...
  11. Well, US Masters+school work now calls for the cold water+coffee powder special golf major night blend. Disgusting as hell.
  12. Poor Rory, that tenth killed him.
