  2. So jealous. Wrote a little today...cool acoustic thing that sounds so sweet I'm almost sure it's a direct copy of something already written out there I'm gonna track it tomorrow I think. Gonna upload to Soundcloud or the like and share it on the thread here?

  4. Got no lyrics or anything yet. We'll see what comes of it. I was asking Cal if he was going to post his though, since it's done- might have gotten a little confusing with me talking about my song first.

    It's just on my facebook for the time being, getting it put up on soundcloud into an EP people can actually buy. I must say though, sounds good.

    No mic on your computer? And don't I remember something you put up a while back that had a Running to Stand Still interpolation?

  8. Ah yeah, I do have an mp3 player with a decent mic. but it's not amazing for good quality stuff. This laptop's mic is terrible lol. The mp3 player has a strange habit of recording a really low-level repetitive clicking which sometimes can be heard over stuff when I'm playing, but it's not too bad.

    To be honest, I'm kinda pissing into the wind in so far as I don't really have time to do anything more than record acoustic covers on mp3 players, and I struggle to throw together my own work because I take so long writing anything. That and I really could do with being in a bit to fully realise my ideas, but then I also want to have top quality in order to further realise it (as I'm sure we all do) - I'm a pedantic perfectionist at heart, whilst equally realising that perfection is impossible to achieve lol. It's a Catch-22 with me

    Bit of shameless self-promotion, I've thrown a couple more things up in the last few months, mainly covers and whatnot if any of you guys are interested - http://soundcloud.com/hjwoj. I realised that stuff like Sunset Run and Change The World, I wrote pretty much a year and some ago, and still am not much further on with them than I was at the time lol. But hey ho.

  10. my first fan. Possibly last too the version on SoundCloud is a more mellow version 'cause I recorded it at about 11pm and everyone else was in bed lol, but it worked in my view. I have to say I am proud of that, but partly 'cause it's some achievement for me to have actually put together a cohesive song of any note. I've got a whole folder on here full of titbits, lyrics and whatnot but rarely can get more than a single functioning verse out at a time. I put it down to artistic constraints and restrictions being imposed upon me - give me license to unleash myself and the world won't know what's hit it.
  11. Crazy funny day in school today actually, I haven't laughed that much in a long time. Probably has something to do with me being so tired.

    I also came up with a cool acoustic thing yesterday EDIT: Just remembered it was on the electric guitar

    Seriously my house is filling up with my song ideas... but some of them are on a lap-top that's in for repairs... praying that the harddrive is OK
