1. I am

I managed to rescue a lot of info from my poor hard disk, and now have reinstalled Windows and everything is in its right place again (a la Radiohead). But this have been 5 of the most awful days of my recent life - I have seen how much I really depend on my computer
  2. A few months ago the harddrive with all my bootlegs on it crashed. I know what it's like... And now one of my family's computer broke, hopefully the harddrive should be salvageable. And it's the one with bootlegs on it...

It's kinda insane how much we depend on technology, we just need a power outage to be really primitive as soon as out batteries run out.

Right now I'm practicing your language, spanish
  3. I just put on the Chicago DVD to see it (I can't even remember any of it) and it's really freaking me out how much my current look has copied off Bono.

    Freaky stuff, that.
  4. Yup, technology can be a bitch. My grandpa's external harddrive isnt working on any computer all of a sudden, and its got all his photos on it, to make it worse the HDD is the only copy of the photos he has

  6. Ha! No - the hair is just one part of it. Someone said to me a few weeks back it was becoming awfully long, and I'm sure it is, so I got them to measure it. 38cm it came to two weeks ago.

About 2-3 months. I'm 6'1 so having that length doesn't look odd either. As long as you keep it clean and mostly tidy, you should be alright.

I really don't care about bootlegs (which can be re-downloaded in a few days), it's my own photos and videos what scare me... those can't be downloaded from anywhere, if they're lost, they're lost. I rescued all my pics (although I will have to name and order them again) and some videos. Enough for me, although I won't make the same mistakes again: I have bought yet another external drive and now, every piece of info that is written in my internal hard disk will be written also in the external one... They both can't fail at the same time (....... I hope ¬¬ ........).

    Estudias español? Qué bueno!
  10. My uncle's computer, he dropped it off to me to have a look at it because he could hear this horrible grinding noise inside (at this time, he wasn't so good with computers and that kinda stuff) and so I power it up. Sure enough, I hear the same grinding - like painful-sounding grinding. The kind you don't want to hear.

I then heard a little bang and went 'Oh fuck'. Both hard drives went at once - they'd actually exploded inside the computer, never mind I had my hand in there just before making sure everything was attached correctly and nothing outta place. Why they did I'm still not sure but he lost everything - family photos, irreplaceable videos etc - so, NEVER rely on technology to work. Well - rather, it does work but it can fuck up just as quickly.

So the moral of this, and Sergio's story is, back up twice. No matter how small it is, even an unfinished essay or remix you've spent two weeks on, you'll want to. I've seen all too often important and irreplaceable notes and photos gone in a small accident. That you don't want - and that you don't want to have to kick yourself for not backing up.
  11. Just remembered I had an intention to buy something more from Muse than The Resistance... Think it'll be H.A.A.R.P
