    It seems you can only use Amazon through debit card, gift card or credit card - none of which I have. I'd be even more surprised if Amazon even carries the stuff I'm after.   3. I guess I'm mostly into rock like U2, Green Day and Muse And good music, I enjoy Beatles too.
  4. Good guitar rock, blues, that kinda stuff? The trick is to really branch out into styles you're not familiar with. That's how I got into much of the stuff I'm into.

    Try these for a few good recommendations - I listen to this stuff quite regularly.

    Yeah, I noticed. Get that too with International Superhits & Dookie. That will start you off nicely.

  7. Magic or Greatest Hits to get a feel from the early days up to Lucky Town - a fine album that one. Took me a while to appreciate but it's really worth the listen.

    Actually, if you're ever curious about a band, go for one of the Essential collections. You usually get two discs or three with the 3.0 series (deeper cuts) and they span anywhere from 25 - 45 songs for next to nothing - live, demos, rarities, alternative versions, edits, single versions, the lot. I've got about six of those, by far the best compilations out there.

    The best Essential is probably the Stevie Ray Vaughan one followed by the Ozzy Osbourne set if you don't mind re-recordings of the classics.

    I could probably get some ideas from listening to this that's lying on the desktop.

  12. Recommended ChiDem a few posts up. Not sure if he's into that orchestra / hard rock / nu-metal stuff though.

    I see the Stones and KISS listed on that box.

    KISS are a hard band to recommend because they're so cheesy (compilation, don't get the studio albums without knowing what you're in for) but the Stones...you gotta get a hold of Exile at the very very least, then Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, Some Girls and Bigger Bang. Though you can get a compilation of the Stones (Rolled Gold is fantastic) and get a real feel for them.
