1. It's by T. Griffin and The Quavers, no idea the title.
  2. I know this gets said here a lot, but seriously

    Ultraviolet is pure magic.

    Transcendental.

  3. Absolutely. It wasn't a coincidence when it battled for the Best U2 Song Ever crown with Streets... Wasn't a coincidence.

    I quote myself:

I don't know why, I just can't explain it - I listen to Ultraviolet maybe 4 or 5 times a week with no problems (the usual goosebumps all over the I remember part, nothing special), but it happened.

Oh, and my mother has sung it with the "all fucked up", she's heard me singing like it a zillion times and she sings it like that now
  4. Our small man with big ideas has become 51!

    Happy Bday Bono ;D
  5. Almost his birthday here
  6. Happy Bono-day everyone!

    Sergio: Bad didn't contend?
  7. All songs from all albums contended. Only Streets and Ultraviolet reached the final Streets won, of course, but that shown everyone how big was our "ultraviolet love"!!

Shows everyone? It must have been a big competition then

I think Bad probably beats Streets
  9. Not in their studio incarnations. Sure Bad has been a definitory moment in a lot of U2 shows since 1984 specially with all the usual snipettry, etc... But Streets is THE song, both in studio (which was the version contending) and live forms. Even Bono once recognised that any show can be good, average or so-so until Streets arrives, then the show becomes epic.
  10. I never really liked Streets that much as you all do but since I fell in love with the Slane version I like the song more every time I hear it

I'd say both Bad and Streets have really poor studio versions compared to live. I don't think any of them wins if we're talking studio versions.

That Streets intro doesn't get you every time?
