Random but cool. If I ever come over to Sweden, I'm hitting up a game of soccer with ya.
I can't believe I've been on u2start for nearly five years. How the place has changed.

The banner was a white one with Bono at one point, there were a lot less show recordings even for the shows before Vertigo and the torrents, photos, shop, videos etc have all pretty much come along in years gone by. It was quite a small website when I first saw it and how it's changed is amazing.
I was the 180th member. There's now 47 000+ members and even people who used to post here don't really post any more. Funny things have included a collector constantly PMing people about a Joshua Tree pizza-box for one. Not sure what else there was.
It's probably the best general U2 site for the discussion part alone.

I know I registered here only for the Adelaide 2006 show and once I had that I wasn't going to come back. But then I decided it was so small it'll be good, and so I stayed and honestly, it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Through this site I've picked up a few singles, heard some great shows, awesome discussions and even a bit of bootleg trading from here to all over the world.
Which reminds me: we should start up the trades thread again. Need some 360, ZooTV and JT shows.

Originally posted by drewhiggins:Well not just that - I don't have anything ultra-rare - but maybe people without big download limits. Like we here have 12GB and that's for one month at $50. To get any more you're gonna need to be paying $100 a month - can't afford that for internet every month. I mean I can download audio no problem but at 4GB a DVD I can't do that.
The internet in Australia is shit. Some people still like the old-school way of snail-mail, hell, that's the way I buy records.

Now I understand why, 12GB limit sounds like a hell! I haven't got any limit, but my internet isn't that fast either, just around 6 mbit/s download and 0.8 mbit/s upload. But at least it's unlimited.

You bet.
That's why and if nobody else feels like downloading 4GB or more for whatever, they may want to trade. It's good, that's what got some of us started with DVDs. Some people have loads of them - like hundreds. Ah you get 12GB extra off-peak which doesn't count towards your normal download limit (from 12am to 8am every day), but then again on this speed and unreliable connection, you might get not even half of the download complete.
