1. I'm starting with Keith Richards / Joe Perry ballads now so they shouldn't do my voice in. Songs like This Place Is Empty, and Ten Years are pretty easy to do because they don't really need a strong voice but they definitely need emotion to them. I do eventually want to take up piano - I can just see myself setting up an entire room and playing renditions and adding words and creating music.

    Ah you gotta learn anyway.

The harmonica I've got is only a diatonic one, but slowly learning new things and how to do bends and slide sounds. I did play to a nice little tune the other day. It used no harmonica but I managed to add one and it sounded pretty good, using the low tones instead of the higher ones all the time. Anyway, that's how most people learn...by messing around.

  2. Piano is fun. I've learned to play With or Without You

  3. That's awesome. Always love the sound of piano - whenever I think piano I either think of this or this.

One day we need to create a duet together, or at least get others here too to join in on other instruments like guitar and bass....if you can play piano, I'll sing and do harmonica and create something awesome. One day though....always wanted to create a contribution track.

Yeah, there is a thread for that. I tried to kick some new life into it, but nothing really happened.

Oh, and about the singing, I think it'll have to be a duet of some sort. You don't get rid of me that easily
  5. Maybe the U2start song could be that everyone who wants to sing has one verse of his/her own, and then everyone sings in the chorus.

Have to find that thread and read up on it. I'll be backing vocals then, if you can sing in front as you can do deeper notes than me.

    How cool that would be.
  7. It would be, very, very cool!
  8. Thanks! Yeah it would be wicked....I usually just use click tracks now and vocalise to those. Usually demos have clapping, tapping and breathing so I know when to go, so that's about all I'm using at this point and where the harmonica has to go, I will hum along and work it that way.

Still need a vocal setup where the rest of the room doesn't get mixed in and it doesn't sound airy as well as room bleed.
  9. I'm actually getting a little excited for what has a good chance to be my first real concert ever... Ringo Starr.

  10. You never went to the U2 show in Sweden? Ringo Starr, still he'd be fantastic.

  11. I had the excellent timing of turning into a U2 fan a few months after those two shows in 2009 And because of that it looks like I'll never see the 360 tour

Ringo Starr is someone I feel I just have to attend, he's a living legend after all.
