1. I thought so too some time ago, but I slowly realize the beauty of Acrobat, that guitar work!

  2. It's not a bad song though. It's great but the brilliance of Achtung, something's gotta be weakest and that's the one for me. On a good day it's One that's the weakest.

One of my favourites is Levitate. Beautiful song.
  3. The Fly and One are the weakest tracks on Achtung Baby, and even so they're better than 90% of this past decade's work.

Acrobat is a beauty of a song, whose greatness has been dramatically improved by the fact that it hasn't been played ever. That helps.A.L.O.T.
  4. I bet they're saving Acrobat for the very last time. How has he been an acrobat all these years in regards to music, politics, family and pop culture. The decade's weakest album has to be ATYCLB by far. Wild Honey, When I Look At The World and The Ground Beneath Her Feet I'll take.

It's a bloody strong album if all the songs are listenable and quality yet have some weak ones, not really weak in that sense. Probably the last strong album was Zooropa - Pop had some pretty crap songs on there e.g. Discotheque and Staring At The Sun (for me at least).

I'd shit myself if they bought Acrobat out for 360. I really would. Although they ought to miss out on something given at the show I went to they played Hold Me Thrill Me. But they did play Bad and Mercy in a row, so I guess that was better than anything. I didn't mind the Crazy remix either.

I've a few photos I've meant to upload but too small for the gallery from my show not using zoom-in at all.
  5. Deciding which track is the weakest on AB, is kinda impossible...
  6. Now I feel like like recording something. Just have to decide what.

  7. I think Trying To Throw Your Arms is the weakest.
  8. I don't think there's any one track on Achtung Baby that can be considered weak! The album is just so complete with each song, and each song contributes something different.

    +1

But if I had to choose....
  10. From the first Melbourne 360 show...taken by me right at the edge of the round aka: what three hours of waiting will get you. No zoom-in either!

  11. That. Is. Cool.
  12. I listened to Achtung Baby all the way through yesterday actually and it made me think about it a bit differently, in a way I never thought about it. I could listen to that album without ever getting bored of it. If there is one album, and only one album I could take out of my whole collection - it would be Achtung Baby. It's also funny because my Top 10 songs involve a great amount of Achtung Baby songs - The Fly, Until the End of the World, Ultraviolet & Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses. I've always thought of So Cruel being my least favourite track on the album, but I don't know anymore after listening to it yesterday. I feel the Love Is Blindness studio version is quite weak, BUT the live version is just out of this world, it's just simply awesome. So for the weakest song on the album, I'd either give it to So Cruel or Love Is Blindness. Both great songs, but I suppose I'd have to choose one of them, although I personally think all songs on the album are great. Some better than others of course.

Also, after creating a setlist in the 'Your Perfect Setlist' thread, it made me think of a certain song that wasn't playing in 360, which really should've been played. Drowning Man. It was one song I never paid attention to until late last year. It's an amazing tune, with some great lyrics & a breath-taking melody to it. I just don't understand why they never played it in the end after rehearsing it extensively throughout the rehearsals in Barcelona. What also baffles me is that they continued to rehearse it in Amsterdam & Dublin & I think Gothenburg too. Just why didn't they play such a timeless classic?

P.S. sorry for the bible. I have to rant sometimes to get it out of me.
