  3. Yeah, I live in Illinois, and I'll be going to Purdue University in Indiana to study communications; eventually I'd like to go into advertising, and make a career out of that.

    oh right, that sounds cool, first year of Uni is something i would love to do again, lucky i've still got 3 more years of being a student before facing the real world

    Hey, Im going to do the same. Unfortunately in my small town 'Alice in Wonderland' isn't in 3D. BTW, what is tickets price in Chicago?

    3 years of freedom... yeah. I faced that real world when I was 19 and had just a college behind my back. You know, it's funny thing when you're studing to become an accountant and you end up working as a photographer. But I have to say that I feel more comfortable with the camera in my hands than I do with large sums of money witch aren't mine

    Includes 3D glasses, but still. Standard tickets are $10 for adults, for an evening show, and our show is at 8PM


  8. So interesting how it is in another part of the world. I've never seen a film in 3D, can you imagine?

    I hope to improve that situation when I'll come to Moscow to see U2 first show. I believe that journey will be fantastic

    P.S sorry for my poor English, I would say more but can't come up with better phrases.

    Its no trouble, you speak English just fine

    And yeah, I like the way 3D has adapted...it used to be that they gave you red/blue glasses, and the movie was full of gimmicks that swung out at you and tried to make you jump, and now, 3D is becoming referred to more and more as "Real-D", and the glasses simply make EVERYTHING seem like it really has another dimension, making it look like you're sitting right in front of the scene as its happening. Same with U23D...no "gimmicks" (okay, when Edge turned and his guitar swung out it was a 3D plug, and I seem to remember Bono kicking some water bottles), it was just like you were standing right there at a real concert.

    I think they're using the technology brilliantly, myself.
  10. So...Alice in Wonderland?

    [SPOILERS MAY FOLLOW, BUT NOTHING HUGE]

    Not everything I'd hoped for. Huge battle scene at the end was majorly cliche'd; I don't know why Tim Burton has to turn everything into an epic. The 3D was nice, because everything seemed real, and although Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter was indeed mad, I didn't find him particularly crazy and frantic like I'd expected. He was just a little more off his rocker, and I thought he would be more of a prominent speaker.

    Anyone elses' thoughts?
  11. Well, what can I say... it's nice fairy tale for kids, a bit gloomy (needless to say why), but good.

    Our local cinema is usually quiet place with just few people, and when you're inside it seems like

    it's not a public place at all. Today it was completely different: hall was full of kids, a lot of

    laughter, especially on Hatter with his hairdo a la "fakir was drunk and trick has not gone right"

    I like actors' playing. It must be very difficult to play when all you have is just green screen

    behind you and imagination in your head. But they've done it well. I just love that couple from

    'Sweeney Todd' (Johnny & Helena) they're crazy geniuses both and btw have something in

    common + Tim Barton = Great Mad Company. But 'mad people more clever than others'. I see that

    world differently too. Am I mad? maybe, so I'm with them.

    Cheshire Cat was so cute as well as all visual effects. Johnny Depp joked that he could play

    all the characters in that cartoon.

    U23D...mmm....my dream. Maybe it's even better than the real concert, because they show you best

    moments so close. I didn't see 3D but heard about 4D, when your chair shakes you from side to side,

    in a minute you're wet, then it's wind blowing and finally you smell some scents (Ok if it is good )
