Easy peasy.

1. Copy your link
2. Paste your link into the forum post and leave it highlighted
3. Click on the icon that looks like a chain in the left hand menu over there <---
4. The pop-up query will ask you for a name for the link
5. Give it a name
6. ...
7. Profit!

Or you can hand code it by using [ url= Invalid url 'http://www.somelinkcom]' Some Link! [/ url]
(take the spaces out, obvs)

Yeah but no idea for how long.

Edit: Just bumped up a great topic from a few years back. Made no sense then and probably makes less sense now.
