1. I have to agree with that. But if I could only listen to one version of the song for the rest of my life, I think it would be the Sarajevo version

Not a fan of the song post 2001. There's an Elevation show from Chicago where Bono and Edge do it solo, acoustic...one of the only times it's ever been done. And Bono introduces it, "This is an old, old B-side of ours..."

But that one would come in at a close second to Paris for me.

I kinda like it on 360, Elevation is probably the worst version though, and the Vertigo version is not good either.

  4. You're right, we haven't...since a favorite user of ours..erm...expired

I've been okay. Working a bunch to pay for shows, fun, etc. My own band has booked a few shows of our own and we're actually hosting a festival that we've organized in my community in July How have you been keeping busy?

  5. And no, we haven't ever officially chatted...plenty of back and forth on some threads, though, and I have to say I enjoy it! Don't know if I've ever properly introduced myself, but the name's Matt

Hi, Matt! The same to you The name is Olof! I'm from Sweden

  7. Nice to meet you Olof. I'm in Chicago myself...the suburbs, really (smaller towns outside the major city- not sure if the vocabulary is the same around the world)...and it's quite the shitty day today. Raining like a monsoon through town today.

It was a shame that he went away...

I've been doing exams since I last chatted to you + I've went into my final year of school. Almost Summer holidays, wish they would come soon. But other than that, I've been quite bored. Haven't had a proper gig since April, but I do have Kings of Leon in 11 days

You organised a festival!? Wow, you must be pretty big Haha. Got any videos of your band?

Suburb is the word I'd have used. But my English is a mix of American, British, Irish, Australian... I have a bit of everything in my English vocabulary, your country's accent is probably the most dominant in me though.

I've had a wonderful day, got my summer holiday

That band things sounds damn cool... I'd like videos as well

It wasn't that hard to organize the fest. Finding a venue to take us on was the hard part, but our drummer works for a church (as a janitor) that has a big room attached to it- basically just a huge recreational room- that they're letting us use for free the day of the festival. We've booked 4 bands, including ourselves, for the bill, and each member of each band will pay $12 to put towards the massive staging we've rented. A back-lit projection screen will hang behind most of the stage, so we can do a live video feed or whatever graphics we want, and admission will be $2 solely to donate to local food pantries. We won't be making any money off the gig- just a great way to play for a ton of people.

It's a lot of fun, really And yeah, no videos of the band yet- we haven't had any shows yet and our practices aren't worth taping. I can PM you the setlist though if you care to know what we're playing.
