    Not sure. I really hope so, it sounds pretty damn good already. Always loved it when they were performing it acoustically. I'm hoping they didn't just decide that because they were tossing it, and they thought it still deserved something, they'd throw it in a movie.

    BUT, that being said, why isn't it on the soundtrack? Very odd. You'd think if they wanted to use it just for movie purposes, that they'd throw it on there. Maybe they just put it in the movie a tiny bit to tease people? Who knows. There are times I wish I was friends with a member of the band so I could just call them up and ask them a question, and this is one of those times!

    It sounds good indeed, I wonder which songs we already know come from RedOne? Every Breaking Wave too? Because I like that one even more, I hope they wont throw all that stuff away.

    And your not the only one, if one of the four was my friend we wouldnt talk about when Acrobat was going to be played but instead we were talking about how awesome it sounds live

    Hahaha. Very true! But yeah, I feel like EBW would come from the same vein. I really hope they don't toss both of those songs. Maybe what they did is they took the songs from RedOne and brought htem to Danger Mouse to see what he could do with them? Not sure. The band said they're going to start writing more after the tour is over, which leads me to believe North Star (which already sounds finished) isn't included in that group of songs that they're going to complete later this year/next year. Hard to say. Either way, I hope we get an official release somewhere. Even if it's just a download on U2.com that'd be better than nothing. But it already sounds like it could do wonders as a single for an album.

    Paulo Nutini (from up close, 15th row or something)
    The Ark (also up close)
    Brandon Flowers (only half the set, from something like 20 m)
    Coldplay (from maybe 25 m)

    The other artists I only saw a little bit of.

    Cool. How were Brandon and Coldplay? I wonder does Brandon plays his own songs or also covers by The Killers and other artists?

    Brandon was very good, Coldplay were awesome incredible epicness

  11. Yeah, they had some lasers and stuff But in Sweden it doesn't get dark in the night during this time of summer This is every teardrop, last song, 22:45, still not that dark

  12. I was just thinking that Stevens Spielbergs work and U2's work are somewhat analogous, let me clarify...


    The 80's - The classics
    Spielberg: ET, Indy, Empire Of The Sun (granted, Spielberg already made two classics in the 70's, Jaws and Close Encounters).

    U2: The Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree.


    The 90's - Even more success/experimentation
    Spielberg: Steven uses CGI for the first time (in Jurassic Park) and starts to make some more serious themed films like Schindler's List and of course Saving Private Ryan. He also made Hook (not well received).

    U2: The band experiments and depart from their distinct 80's sound with: Achtung Baby, Pop, Zooropa (not so well received either).


    00's - Mixed
    Spielberg: Steven makes all sorts of different movies like War Of The Worlds, Munich, AI, The Terminal, Catch Me If You Can, Indy 4 (later admits it was poor). No classics this decade, and mixed reviews from fans and critics.

    U2: The band ''goes back to their roots'' and is at the top of their game with ATYCLB and HTDAAB. Then NLOTH came, which had a lukewarm reception.


    10's- ...
    Spielberg: Seems like more experimentation with the 3D animation Tintin, and more drama oriented films like War Horse and Lincoln (the biography of Abraham Lincoln).

    U2: Also more experimentation with Songs Of Ascent?
