1. What version you like the best? Zoo, Elevation, Vertigo, 360, or album?

  2. Nice. Gotta say nothing touches the album version, it just has so much feeling that they still haven't managed to fully reproduce live (in my humble opinion). But that's not to say the live versions don't kick ass in their own right! Love the vertigo and now the 360 tour version (pretty similar). Great stuff.

  3. Watching back on the Glastonbury version of the Fly i noticed Edge played the outro solo, how longs he been doing that for? or have i just been missing it.

  4. I really loved the Elevation ones the best, but the Vertigo ones hold a special place in my heart too since it was the first time I really ever heard the song at all. Didn't even have Achtung before I had the Chicago DVD. I've listened to the studio one several times now, though, and I have to say it's probably the best. It's an impossible song to really DUPLICATE live, which is fine, but the production, the feeling, the swagger, the perfection...it just really is all perfectly captured on Achtung Baby. So yeah....

    1. Achtung, Baby
    2. Vertigo Tour
    3. Elevation Tour
    4. 360 Tour (only because there's so few to compare, it's really just a "specialty" song if even still a regularity at this point)
    5. ZooTV

and I LOVE the song on ZooTV, so that's saying something about them performing it. Even when they get it "wrong", they nail it.

I actually think the 360 ones are closer to the Zoo performances, with Edge using the Strat and not really doing the whole loop-pedal-driven extended intro anymore. It's a perfect cross between Vertigo and Zoo, in my opinion.
  6. i saw it on vertigo
  7. Big news over here - one of the big tabloids papers, the News of the World is closing down on Sunday in the wake of a scandal revolving around phone-hackings and general illegal stuff. British media's going mental.

They've given us some comedy entertainment - like the Max Mosley 'nazi sex orgy' scandal.

  10. I would like to take this moment to pay my respects. On this day in both 1991, and 2003, the state police agency in my state (Michigan) lost men in the line of duty.

    R.I.P. to Trooper Kermit Fitzpatrick (January 29, 1961-July 7, 1991), and Trooper Kevin Marshall (November 14, 1969-July 7, 2003).

Gone but not forgotten by the citizens of this state which they gave there lives to protect.
