1. But you won't get angry with me ?
  2. Anybody around for a chat about nothing?
  3. Oh an hour's cool. How you been?
  4. Decent. Only thing I have to complain about is my damn back, don't know why I have the random knots and aches in it that I do. Probably muscle problems or whatnot that I'm too lazy to get fixed, so oh well.

My band's heading into our show week..."headlining" a little festival we've actually organized on Wednesday night, and a huge slot at a popular bar on Saturday.

How are things down under, Drew?
  5. Ouch. You're not still growing are you?

You have a band - that's way cool, good luck for those shows. If I'm ever over there I'll definitely pop over for a show or four. Things aren't bad here apart from a cat we had to put down on Saturday or Sunday, I think it was (only had him a year, a stray one we found and cleaned him up - had cancer and internal bleeding - sad, you get attached after such a small amount of time) and bought a new phone, which I'm enjoying very much - finding all kinds of cool stuff for it.
  6. New phones will always keep you busy; got my HTC Evo 4 months ago and I'm still playing with it. Sorry to hear about the cat...I know exactly what you mean. My dog probably doesn't have more than a few years left in her; we've had her for an eternity, feels like she's part of the family. So that time will come.

The shows will be fun- thanks for the best wishes. The songs are easy enough, the problem is coordinating all of them. We've got something like a 40 song setlist for the bar show, since we have such a long slot, so we learned mostly 4 chord crowd-pleasers that everyone knows...it's just tough when you've got 40 songs written by other people, and you've got to remember every little nook and cranny in them to not knock the rest of the band off track. Gonna be a great time though. If U2 pops up it'll either be in the form of "The Fly" or an acoustic version of "With or Without You" so we'll see.
  7. Ah yeah - just trying to find a new 'launcher' for it. I already modded my iPod to as far as I can possibly do, so I figured Android would be next. Yeah, it's sad when a dog, cat, whatever, passes because you really feel like they're family. Home every night, asleep by 3am....

Absolute good luck for that show. I think you'll do well given from reading bits and pieces about your playing on here - you got any videos or audio to see or hear? I'd be absolutely confused if I had to do 40 songs and remember each and every single one - I have enough trouble remembering bends and patterns and holes on harmonica!!!!
  8. Unfortunately no videos yet...I had my brother show up to one of our venue-rehearsals last week (for the fest, we've got an agreement with one of the churches in the community- there's a large activity center that the church owns, separate building, that they've let us set up complete stage, concert lighting, back-projected screens, etc. Rather cool- just too damn loud and boomy), and he took some video, but I was stupid and accidentally deleted it while prepping my camera for my U2 show last week. There will certainly be video from the show though- hopefully it won't be too echo-y and boomy so that you can't hear it.

So you play the harmonica? I've always wanted to be like Bono and whip it out of my sleeve at the end of a song. Do you do any singing as well? You could do your own acoustic sets at open mic nights, with Springsteen, Dylan, and U2 songs!
