  8. Slipped and fell on some damp pavement on the way to work this morning. Bruised (purple!) knee on the left, sprained ankle on the right, various other sore bits. Ridiculously bad timing. Could have been worse of course.
  9. Ouch. No wonder you were in emergency, and it could have been worse but good to hear you're (relatively) alright - at least hope so. How else have you been?

    Yeah, not too bad. Busy though. I really wanted to go the art gallery this weekend to see the surrealism collection from Centre Pompidou, but I'm thinking that might have to wait another week. How are things in the frozen south?
  11. Fucking freezing is what it is, like 9 degrees. I went to the art gallery a few weeks ago but it was the same shit as whenever I went last year.

    Apart from a cat we had to put down and being bored, not much else.

    That's sad about your cat. Ours are part of the family, when we've lost them in the past it's been just awful for all of us.

    We're really lucky up here, our Gallery of Modern Art has fantastic, accessible exhibits from around the world. They do an awesome 'Up Late' program on Friday nights too, with live music and drinks.
