  1. People assume Michigan is cold. They've never come here in the summer. Yeah, the temperature rarely passes 100 degrees, but it can get into the high 80s lower 90s fairly regularly.
  2. I heard that New York broke its all-time temperature record today morning, with something over 42ºC. That's crazy. Poor little planet.
  3. Moncton, NB CA show is said to be contained in a festival as I read on u2.com,so,can't the company take the claw there ?

    Because I was hoping to see Arcade Fire under it.

  4. today we remember the tragic loss of 21 young lives and many hundreds of injured during the LoveParade in Duisburg, Germany on July 24, 2010.

    a sad, dark day which has its shadows cast the every-day-life of everyone living in this area here.

    it is still an open wound that might never heal. we will never forget.

  5. A friend of a friend died there last year, I might give her a call later today although I know she'll be destroyed and absolutely not keen to talk... but I'll try anyway. May all those young souls rest in peace. . . .
  6. give her a call. even though she might very well not be ready to talk, she will most certainly appreciate that you think of her and offer an open ear.
    I can only speak for myself, but it is still almost unbearable to see the videos and hear the stories of those who survived, already a year on now. I wasn't there, though in a place nearby where I heard the sirens of the ambulances and saw the helicopters fly overhead -- but it all brings tears to my eyes immediately, still, after a whole year gone by. It seems like yesterday. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to have lost a dear one there.

  11. Our summer cottage, and this weekend, Sweden's capital Stockholm Was on my first pro-golf tournament, exciting to see that those people you see on TV actually exist as well.
