1. I agree with Matt, Bono is to old for that kind of role playing and he is a different person now than during the Zoo TV period, he was a lot cooler back then imo. He didnt gave a shit about everyone's opinions , or at least that's what it looks like to me.
  2. He's still got quite a bit of swagger, just not the young spark anymore. He's aged well, performance-wise...I still think he gets a place going like few others...he just doesn't need to be bringing a character into it. They're also not playing songs that would really merit one. I think the Mirrorball Man was too much in 92, but MacPhisto was golden...though if he hadn't been singing Daddy's Gonna Pay and Lemon, he would have been out of place.
  3. Bono was awesome during Zoo TV, not so much during Pop Mart, great during Elevation, shit during Vertigo and he is still a cool dude now. He is a great performer and a great singer too, there arent many artist who have both.
  4. I still think it would be cool...

    But you're right.

But if he really did it all of us would think it was awesome, y'know, us diehards.
  5. Not so much during PopMart??? He was incredibly cool back then.
  6. It would be great to see, but i doubt the falsetto would still be there
  7. I thought the Vertigo days were okay minus the speeches. Definitely his talkiest tour.

Also I really didn't mind him during PopMart either. He never really did that much because they didn't really have a stage to run around like they have on every other tour post-92. The whole boxer look in the intro was kickass.
  8. and those 'bubble' pants in Discotheque
  9. Those were ridiculous...
  10. THE LEMON!
  11. If they had 4 more months for that album/tour, everything would have been different.
  12. Yeah the boxer intro is awesome but I dont really liked him during that period, dont know why. Vertigo days were not good because of his speeches and his constant reference to Africa.
