1. It's great but very echoey for some reason. Not like my other recordings where there's loads of dead air but just sounds like it's in a big room which will give it that feel I want for some songs that need that big sound.

What settings do you have for it in Garageband? I usually set it to "No effects". Default is something else though.
  3. That's why it sounds weird. Effects off now.
  4. I'm referring to what has probably been set to "Male Basic" by default. On the right.
  5. Those effects are cool though. Turned it off and far better. Now I just need a mic stand.

How would I get my voice louder (apart from singing louder) without introducing too much feedback?
  6. Buy a cheap one, nothing fancy needed if it will not be used live.
  7. You have a dynamic microphone, right? Not a condenser.
  8. I might even make one. It's just a cheap mic, nothing fancy. A Philips SBC MD110.
  9. Sorry, I absolutely NEED to share this. First time I see it, although I see it's been circulating for years... It is IMMENSE:

  10. Drew: That's a dynamic microphone, used live, a condenser is the studio type of microphone, like this one:

Sergio: That video is so legendary. You should be banned for not seeing it before
  11. Ah not one of those.

  12. I know, I googled your microphone. The above is the one I have A condenser, gives a fuller, more natural sound. Cannot be used live though.
