1. Yeh looks like I was quickest off the mark to get the pics from Turin here lol

  2. How did you get them so quick?

  3. Saw them U2gigs twitter and spent a minute to make sure they were really in Turin and the 360 tour and not just old pics from the last date there Then rushed onto here and the rest is history
  4. didn't know where to post this....

Saw this and thought it was cool. Posted by XRT my favorite Chicago radio station. The Metro in Chicago is a really small venue between 200-350 fit in there.

As an old school fan myself of WXRT, I come to you humbly to draw your attention to an impending benefit for Chicago musician Matthew Leone, which will take place this coming Tuesday, July 27 at The Metro featuring my band The Smashing Pumpkins and Kill Hannah.

A good samaritan, Matthew stopped a stranger on the street from beating his own wife and was in return beaten so savagely that he has required 2 brain surgeries to date. Like many musicians, Matthew has no insurance, and I was so touched by his act of heroism and the concern of my friends (who know him well) that I was able to put this benefit together along with my dear friend, Metro owner Joe Shanahan.

I had saved The Pumpkins first show at the Metro in almost 10 years in my back pocket for a special occasion, and I can think of no more fitting moment to honor this young man’s spirit than this benefit to raise funds for his care.
So rather than just put some tickets on-sale, I came up with the idea of holding a raffle, $10 giving anyone a fair chance at a pair of tickets. The high-priced VIP tickets we put on sale sold out immediately, but the beauty of a $10 donation is that either you win your own pair of tickets or in the least help contribute to this young man’s future care.

“ How do I know you have good karma? Because you are a WXRT listener!

” Billy Corgan The window for the raffle ends tomorrow, Saturday July 24th at 2pm, so I encourage everyone to buy as many chances as you like. I know that this will be a very emotional return show for me to the venue that is the spiritual home for The Smashing Pumpkins. I can’t believe it has been almost 10 years since I stood on that stage as a Smashing Pumpkin. The last show was 4 1/2 hours long! But I promise this show will be much less an arduous challenge to your karma. In fact, this is an opportunity to only add good points to your already fantastic karma. How do I know you have good karma? Because you are a WXRT listener!

    See you at the show!

    Thanks and Love, Billy Corgan

  5. Hi guys

    How have you been?

Just bought 2 tickets to see our boys live in New York next year

Since I don't know when they're going to play in Brazil again, it will be my 3rd show (São Paulo 2006-02-20 and Paris 2010-09-18). I'm very excited about this

    Greetings from Brazil
  6. Just returned home from Kings of Leon's show.....holy SHIT, what a night. I cannot even begin to explain the league these guys are in when it comes to playing live- EVERY SINGLE SONG is perfected, sounds better than the album version. It feels so REAL, drops you right into each song. Stellar show- 3rd best of my life.
  7. Are they that good?? mmm... I've never been able to completely get into their music but if you say they're so good live...... mmm might give them a try
  8. Love KoL Very lucky Matt definitely going to them when they come around here again

And Sergio, try to look for some videos from their DVD on YouTube. My favorites are Closer, Sex On Fire, Use Somebody, Molly's Chambers and California Waiting.

  12. Hi people, I won't be a lot around here until next Friday... The reason is that I'm teaching English (*)) in an agency for unemployed people and I have to work there from 9 to 14, local time, so barely any spare time to get into here. Anyway, 600€ for 8 days of work (a work that I love, moreover) is not that bad

So, that said, have a nice summer while we Spanish people melt under a 42ºC sky.....
