1. I'm getting my 14 year old sister into good music tonight.

14 was the age I started taking music seriously, what bands do you think I should introduce to her?

    Already done:-

    MBV
    Easyworld
    Smashing Pumpkins
    Oasis

    Coming up:

    Radiohead

And if you had to pick one U2 song that wasn't a single for her to hear, which one?

Too open-ended of a question....but considering what you've already shown her, band-wise, I would say...Last Night on Earth or Until the End of the World
  3. Ultraviolet or Dirty Day, I'd say. Heartland and Running To Stand Still can do the trick too but they're both too "slow" and not U2-representative enough.

You can't miss the oportunity of getting her into Muse (go into the Muse topic for songs recomendations), The Killers (same) and some older bands like AC/DC, Guns'n'Roses, Queen and maybe Nirvana and The Police.

Everyone but Nirvana was on the list
  5. Lawdy lawdy, if I didn't have U2 shows to get me through nights like this, I don't really know what I'd do.
  6. Shows with Walk On are specially designed for nights like these.

  7. Same thing happens to me. But it was great when they came to Zagreb and most of my friends that didn't like (didn't know) them went to a concert. Next few days I was getting SMS messages like: "Now I understand you, it was the best concert I've ever seen!"

Recently, friend of mine almost choke herself when I said that I consider U2 as my third parent.

The thing is, people know Beautiful Day and maybe Vertigo, they never heard Lemon, Bad, Zooropa, Moment Of Surrender, Miss Sarajevo...
  8. 2 Questions

What is the best 360 show so far?

Are there any Vertigo shows that were pure excellent?

  9. 360: Sheffield, Amsterdam I & II, Chicago II, Milan, Zagreb I are all fantastic. If I had to pick one, I'd say go with the Milan show from 7-7

    Vertigo: I love...

    2005-10-04: Boston MA
    2005-04-28: Vancouver
    2005-07-31: Copenhagen
    2005-06-18: London

  10. Not so many ppl know this but Houston, Texas is the best 360 show. Bono's voice is perfect and the songs are played well (except maybe for Streets - Edge messed up the intro) but what really makes this show unique is the fact they play in Houston - home of the space stuff a Bono adds a lot of comments about this. My favourite part is when Bono says: "Houston, we have no problem" and Larry kicks in for ISHFWILF.

I listen to Vetrigo bootlegs very rarely so i dont really know. My favorite is one Chicago 09-21 thou

  11. From what I've heard, the first Saitama show is excellent, I recommend that. Apperantly the other Saitama shows are really good.
