Your Blue Room - while I don't think has quite hit the heights of its record version - is still such a beautiful song and a clear example of the band mixing up new things for the North American leg of the tour, as they did on the last tour.
On the European leg of the Vertigo tour the band rarely changed too much in the setlist, at least compared to the American leg. So what gives?
Why do the quieter crowds of the States and Canada generally get more of a setlist mix up? Maybe I'll be wrong but I'm betting that the first Pop song of the tour debuts in the States. Discotheque was played there on Vertigo yet the feeling is that Pop is much more of a European abum. It certainly did better critically here.
I saw four fantastic shows of this tour in Europe but its disconcerting that the band are appealing more to the hard core fans of the States and somewhat ignoring the fact that several hard core fans from Europe (many on these pages) do not get the same opportunities as over there.
Maybe we're more critical over here, and they feel compelled to play a safer set list to appease us.
Don't get me wrong, I love the band, but just wonder why they seem to do more over there than here.

Also people forget they did change a lot in europe. It started in Barcelona, you cant expect them to change the whole show every day!
I went to both Amsterdam shows and saw 5 changes between both nights. Good enough for me![]()
