1. Surprised me no-one opened this one.

So the 20th and the 21st of September the guys hit Foxboro.

    City: Foxboro
    Venue: Gillette Stadium
    Support Act: Snow Patrol
    Capacity: 68,756

Anyone going? And what do you guys expect?
  2. Two of my friends are going to both shows in Foxboro and later both shows of New Jersey, them bastards

I expect great shows over there, they know that every critic around the world will be watching their concerts in/surrounding New York.

PS. Some special snippets regarding New York during COBL? Anyone?
  3. I'm expecting I Will Follow maybe, or something else from Boy. Probably some Aerosmith snippets somewhere too.

And I am out of my mind excited to be going.
  4. Am going to both shows. Very excited as first shows ever. Ended up with extra tickets that I cannot move. There was just a glut of people trying to sell tickets for both shows on various websites.

Notice was sent out that parking lots won't open until 3:00 P.M. and they don't want anyone lining up before then. So this could be a real mess since Route 1 is pretty bad in the first place now you will probably just have people trying to drive up and down until lots open.

First night going with friends and were intending to get there at 1:00 to do some tailgating all afternoon. I don' thave GA tickets so not worried about getting in line. We are going to try hit up the side parking lots before stadium and walk the mile or so. I think those could be opened earlier.
  5. I'm going on Sunday, not staying for 2nd show as I'm seeing them in DC a week later. I expect some sort of tour debut of an older song for the Boston shows. It is the first American city to embrace them, huge Irish population, etc. I can see IWF or finally Drowning Man. This will be my 12th time seeing the boys - I went to both Popmart shows when they played old Foxboro Stadium. Great shows. There will be 75k people there - a new Gillette Stadium record.

Definitely Walk This Way in Vertigo, as they've down in Boston before on the last tour.
  7. Im so terribly concerned about I Will Follow not being performed this tour

  8. I actually did but I had someone close it until the Toronto shows were over...but my internet f*cked up last night and I didn't really inform anyone.

I might be goin to the second show as tickets cost less than a beer for the nosebleeds
  9. I'm going to both Boston shows and then heading to the NY shows, so I'm really excited. I only saw them once on Vertigo, so the chance to see this thing live is so exciting.

I'm am super pissed about the parking lot situation though. It will be chaos because there will literally be thousands of people trying to find a way to get into the stadium. People will get angry, there will be awful traffic, and lines will start forming other places. It's a terrible decision on behalf of venue staff. I'm sure they had good intensions, but they are just making more work for themselves.

    It's too bad really...

Yeah Route 1 is gonna be terrible. But I'm gonna take a quick drive over there on Saturday so I can figure out the best way exactly. Just curious, what's the parking lot problem again?

  12. this is crazy. im embarrassed that boston is the city that has to be difficult.
so much added anxiety now over this.

I know many people who are going down as early as 5am.... I cant imagine the difficulty they will have.
And if people create a numbering system to keep the order, what will happen when there are multiple groups merged or the staff at the venue messes things up.

Im not looking forward to this.
