Biggest letdown was When I Come Around- listened to that on the CD already.

I really enjoyed the CD. I thought it was, well... awesome as f**k Much better than Bullet in a Bible.

And what was wrong with When I Come Around? I loved it!

The fact that he "let the crowd sing" the best part of the song every time it came around (no pun intended). This is what I heard:

No time to search the world around,
    ______________________________----

    [Guitar riff]

It was just a bunch of nothing. Shouting, not in unison, perhaps they were singing...but not anywhere near together/correctly enough for it to come across at all in the recording.

I thought Bullet in a Bible was LOADS better. As in, 100% better. I liked no part of Awesome better than Bullet. But, each to his own

I'm listening to "Little Lion Man" by Mumford and Sons. Such a great tune. "The Cave" is as well.

Ok, yeah, the crowd were pretty shit at points, but because most songs were taken from different shows, the crowd noise varied. I noticed that the UK shows had a better audience than the rest of them.

There was one reason why I kind of disliked Bullet in a Bible and it was because of Billie Joe's constant shouting of "ENGLAND!!!". I don't know how many times he says it, but it's definitely in the double figures.

Bullet in a Bible didn't have Burnout, 2000 Light Years Away or Paper Laterns (aka, the classics by Green Day). I felt 21st Century Breakdown Tour was epic, as they played 30+ song sets and played songs that they released back in the very early 90s. And I think that's why I prefer Awesome as F**k.

But of course, everyone has an opinion

Listening to Burnout from Awesome as F**k now.
  8. I will absolutely concede that Billie Joe said "ENGLAND!" so many times it might as well have been a song in the setlist, and that "Burnout" was simply phenomenal on that DVD/CD. I didn't much care for the other performances of the older tunes at this time. But Burnout RULED.

But, just as he yelled "ENGLAND!" so many times on Bullet, the amount of times he said "I SAID A HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" in the middle of a song on AAF had me smacking my head against the wall while I was watching it....literally. My roommate was laughing at me. He's too worried about the crowd participating in EVERY SINGLE SONG that he dismantles the band's greatest tunes, old and new, to make sure they get a word in edgewise.

It pisses me off that he says it far too much, he even does it in Awesome as F**k. Burnout is such a great song, and also a song I'd love to experience live. It is in my top 3 of Green Day songs.

I also think Cigarettes & Valentines is a great song from Awesome as F**k and it was a shame because of the masters being stolen for that album, but of course, we wouldn't have had American Idiot if the masters for CIgarettes & Valentines weren't stolen.

He also does that "I SAID A HEYYYYY OHHHH" in Awesome. Not as much as Bullet in a Bible, but still does it.

It's great, but the other day's version in La Plata is absolutely MORE powerful, whether you like or not.
