1. Will definitely be following along later tonight. Let's hope for an audiolink.
  2. Might be here somewhere too tonight..Mofo, wo would have thought that. Gotta love those 4 Irishmen..
  3. Pretty suspicious over here about Mofo being soundchecked - have we gotten two sources on this one? Checked U2 gigs and no word over there... only suspicious because I would LOVE Mofo to return!

As a side note, this whole question of why resurrect Pop in America is really strange to me - I'm American, I love that album, and know a lot of other Americans that do as well... plus - it's an album steeped in Americana - Playboy Mansion, Miami, the Vegas theme, K-Mart, etc, etc, I'm sure America reminds the band of the Pop album more than any other country...the whole album is bringing a sinister element to Americana kitsch... just like Zooropa (my personal fave U2 album) is Euro-centric...

Anyway, off topic, I know...let's all hope for MOFO tonight!!!

I think much of the taboo surrounding any potential resurrection of Pop in the States is more centred on the response of the album as opposed to its content - it saw far more relative success as I understand it in Europe than in the US, and perhaps people would feel a bit hard done by if that wasn't recognised, maybe? I dunno, I'm not on the bandwagon, I just thought I'd throw the topic out into the open before someone else did
  5. From U2 gigs: Today's U2 soundcheck? Elevation... and don't get too excited, but reportedly Mofo

Let's hope they bring Mofo into the set list, and keep it there so they can return to Europe with it!!!!

Love from America: Land of Pop

Don't believe we'll be hearing it tonight, Your Blue Room was soundchecked for the first time in Zagreb and we heard it for the first time in USA...

But anyway, the historic moment is approaching.
