I am willing to wait if the album's going to be a masterpiece.
With Coldplay's new album and U22, soon to be followed by Muse's new album in a few months, I'll have enough material to tide me over for a while.
But when Bono said this isn't Old School U2, what's he referring to... Is he saying that they've moved further from their AB/Pop era? Have they returned to ATYCLB/HTDAAB? Have they done something else? This is the time for asking questions.
I'll let the Coldplay thing slip, since I don't listen to them anymore..
Muse might be a nice thing, but I'm looking forward most to the new Killers, Editors and Mumford and Sons!
Still I gotta agree with you. A good album might be worth a wait. I still think NLOTH is one of their worst ablums (although we had to wait for it 5 years).
I gotta agree with your questions about the way they are going now.. I personally hope we don't get another Pop or ATYCLB. I'd rather have something they haven't done before, cause their trademark is still 'being able to reinvent themselves'
