    I think is more deeper than the money ... they want to be listen for everyone .... this is what i think about it .... i think the boys have some money to eat everyday or they need more ??

I think U2 considers having their songs played around a matter of self-esteem.After 30 years,if they still can top the charts,,I think it's okay to wait.But as for myself I don't consider this a big issue,man U2 are tremendously respectable,even if they are not popular anymore...But we have something more.The 360 was their peak for the general audience,so moving on from a position like that,they don't want to go down.Understandable

    So, you just finished the biggest tour EVER. Broke tons of records. More than 7 million people served.
    If "live really is where they live", then you're still pretty relevant.
    Lady Gaga can stick whatever kind of meat to her body, she will never achieve what U2 has achieved.

    The relevance Bono is referring to, is to be heard by screaming and fainting teenagers. Because that's the fanbase of the best selling artists atm. Lady Gaga, Bieber, One Direction,... Or the club music that doesn't sell music, but a product. That product often is sex btw.

    So, be relevant live, but not in clubs. I'd rather not see Bono in a speedo surrounded by barely dressed women on a boat, with Edge mixing on a dj-table and Larry trying to drown himself because of the shame.
