There was a "small 3 year world tour" midway though

My two cents, given the two new songs we've heard: U2 can still write very good music, yes; but the new material won't be JT or AB like. Maybe they're not quite young enough anymore, maybe it's not quite the time for rock n roll, maybe great songs are not quite flocking by the minute, maybe a mix of all these things - who knows. I really like Invisible, but, like the recent survey confirmed, most of us think it's no WOWY, Bad, SBS, AIWIY, EVBTTRT, MW and so forth.
I'm quite happy with that, though! It is a really great song, and U2 are still the biggest, and best, band in the world!

I think it's kind of unfair to stack Invisible up with those songs since we haven't even had it for a month yet. I know when I voted I chose the 4 option (or the good not great or whatever the second choice was) but had we just had any of the songs listed above for less than a month I feel like it would get the same rating. We love these songs because we've had so much time with them. Invisible is still getting quite a few repeated plays on my iPod so I'm not worried. I can see it becoming a favorite.

I don't agree. Masterpieces are masterpieces since they're born.
