  1. Guys. I'm just genuinely excited that there's new U2 coming and there'll be a tour coming. Ah damn, back in the U2 saddle it would seem.

  5. I've said this before but I would love it if they were to perform and at the end of the set they said "Our new album is available on iTunes right now."

  7. By the way, the rumour of a double album / two albums hits again... U2Valencia (the same guys who claim to have some serious info leaked from close sources to the band) insist on that.
  8. That would be awesome if they played at the iTunes festival and said that! But I was thinking if they were shooting a video for Apple (or at least that's what I thought the rumor was), it would just be a music video for the new single and then the whole album would be available on iTunes, then an actual CD release in late September or early October like the rumor said. Either way, brace yourselves..... U2 is coming. :p

    Double album would be even wetter than a surprise release... Certainly they must feel the pressure to show something for the 5 (and more, if we count the Rubin sessions) years they've been working on it, or them... we feel it; I'm sure they feel it too But: not even one album is certain, so what are we dreaming of!
  10. Well, since trying to surprise release one album wouldn't be much of a surprise... maybe have a second surprise album to be able to do it?
  11. At this point, I'm sticking to my original idea. Release EVERYTHING. It's been so long....

    Release one cd with 75-79 min of music,

    and instead of following that trend of a deluxe version years later, just have a 5 disc set available right away with all the demos, outtakes, etc. And make it cheap. $50 or less. No DVD of some guy riding a motorcycle around in circles like NLOTH is necessary
  12. The famous four spent this month filming a new music video in Nice amid speculation that work on their eagerly-awaited album is almost completed.

    And one source said they may also film one of their videos in Dublin shortly in a real treat for their Irish fans.

    They previously used the roof of the Clarence hotel to film Beautiful Day for Top of the Pops in 2000 and used Fitzwilliam Square for Sweetest Thing.

    "There has been talk of them going back to their roots and filming something in the capital for the new album as they love to use Dublin as a backdrop for their music," a music insider said.
