I'm far from having heard all their stuff, but I liked all their songs I've heard. They seem to be a great band, I'll definitely check them out more. Which album is the best to start with?

I'd go for Disintegration, since it's their best known and most typical of their style.

I don't have any album, but I like them a lot. I think I soon will buy a Best Of (if there's any) or their famous Desintegration album. Just in case

... I have several bootlegs, but all are post-2000, and I think that the best part of their career took place on the 80's and early 90's; didn't it?

Anyway, I have to say it: Boys Don't Cry is among my 10 all-time favorite songs. It has such a deep meaning for me . . .

Indeed their best work was IMO during late 80/start of the 90... one of their best album is "show", it's a live album that contains most of their hits and lot's of songs from whish. On the dvd version you have picture of you, friday i'm in love, boys don't cry, just like heaven, inbetween days...
Last year I saw them live, they played more than 3 hours with three encores, mixing them at every show, if only some other bands could do the same...

Oh yeah, what a band. I don't like everything, but there are some great albums (Disintegration, Pornography), and some truly great songs: A forest (acoustic) and Just like heaven are among the most played on my Itunes library. Btw, Smith used to play guitar in the Banshes, Siouxie's band. There's some great stuff there as well (Israel and the Beatles' cover Dear Prudence, among the most well-known).

I'm a pretty big Cure fan as well. But, man their last album sold horribly.

If you think U2 is having trouble staying relevant this decade, be glad you aren't a Cure fan.

Brilliant band with excellent albums. My favourite is Dinsintegration. But others are also great.

A little list:

Live they're great. I saw them last year in the Ahoy and the played almost 3 and a half hours. Really great.

I also saw them in 1992 during the Wish tour. I'm stil looking for the rcording of the show. I know there were recordings made, but iocudn't find anyone wh have it until now.

I have 14 songs here and I love all of then. I don't have any CD, but I they're an excelent band in my opinion. I'll try to buy something soon...

My favorite is Just Like Heaven.

seeing these guys at the weekend at Leeds festival. so stoked! they've been playing Springsteen-esque 3 hour show lately so i'm sure they'll treat the crowd to some fan favourites.
