1. Where is Unknown Caller? This is a tour to promote NLOTH right? ATYCLB is 8 years behind us.

  2. Ummmm, Dieder? The Elevation Tour is still going. Vertigo and 360 are figments of our imaginations. And Elevation is number one in Australia at the moment.

    Imagine if U2 ever come up with a title for an album after this one...No Line On The Horizon sounds good...

    Ah I might be living in the future then.
  5. All That You Can't Leave Behind is an awesome album with awesome songs.
    Beautiful Day = should be in the set
    Stuck = could do without (read: please burn this song)
    Elevation = Awesome live
    Walk On = It has nice lyrics...the song I could do without
    Kite = Would look nice in the set
    In A Little While = Certainly their best acoustic song. Deserves its place in the set
  6. I really thought All That You Can't Leave Behind was a nice album, sort of going back to their roots and pretty modern. But after the release of NLOTH I concluded that it's just a bit boring, too safe and too mainstream. I like the Elevation tour and I like some album songs, and overall I really like the spiritual lyrics and music on it. But it's overplayed. Many songs have been played for years like Streets, Sunday, Pride, Mysterious Ways and they have been strong throughout. That's because they're not mainstream. They are what U2 has always been: different (yeah, well except for those two pretty crappy albums in this decade, but still some great songs)

    The songs of All That You Can't Leave Behind don't last long. This tour proves it. Yes, they were good on the Elevation Tour. But they have lost their power.

    Songs from the Pop album and Achtung Baby album are made for this stage. I mean, who doesnt want to see the Claw freak out during The Fly or during Mofo?

    @crew: offtopic. I know
  7. Just your opinion though, must say NLOTH has dropped a few places on my ranking. Sure its a good album, but it just seems a bit off. Magnificent had a lot of potential, and sounded great. But I skip it now. Same for Breathe. The titelsong i DO like, also MOS. But the rest are just so-so in my opinion.

    Funny thing 'the mainstream' it always comes back to that. Have you ever considered that U2 influenced the mainstream? Also i dont consider Kite, In A Little While and BD 'mainstream' songs. BD was a very different at launch imo.

    But i think we should stop all this ATYCLB shit, because its the wrong thread. And you made perfectly clear that ATYCLB should be dropped, and i made it clear i disagree
  8. Lets talk about the gig then. Any mp3?

    Agree.

    If I'm one day going to make a, let's say, 5 CD collection of "Best of U2 live 1980 - 2009", only MOS will have a place in there.

  10. No UC for some shows now...too bad, too bad. Drop Wowy, play Love Rescue Me instead with BB King. Those were the days...sigh
